The Adventures of Bubba

I guess that I will Blog

Friday, September 16, 2005
It has been a couple of weeks since I blogged. So here we go. I have been invovled in various projects over in Mississippi to help with disaster relief. Me and several others from our church have been making day trips over there to help set up distrubution sites in serveral places in Mississippi. It is just a really sad thing to see the devastation and to see the effect on the people. It is so very important for believers to be involved in this effort because these are in great need fro someone to minister to them on a spritual level. I am headed home next weekend for Big Spring Jam. It is going to be great and hopefully I will get to hang out with some people that I hae not seen in quite a while. It is so easy to take for granted how easy it is for us to just call up one of your many friends and go do something until you move far away and you only have a very few friends who are still like 45 minutes away. It's tough but finally after 10 months I am starting to adjust and just get used to it. I don't want it to sound all sad and everything it is just that I appreciate my friends even more now than ever. As for the ministry things are really going good. The unity that I have been waiting on for so long has finally started to take shape. But on a sad note our Music Minister has resigned and will only be here until the end of the month. The great thing is that it is not because of any kind of contraversy it is just that he feels that it is time for him to go. He has been a great friend to me and it will be very different without him here in the office. So pray for our church as we will be looking for someone to fill this place in the months to come.
