I'm still here

Just wanted to let ya'll know that I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I decided that I would post after someone mentioned that my blog has been neglected just a little. I have been pretty busy with all the usually youth minister stuff. Planning retreats, preparing bible studies, trying to figure out what makes some people so weird. Well that last thing may not just relate to ministry but it is a big part of it. I have realized that the students here are very different than where I come from. Which is ok with me I like different, but it can also be very challenging at the same time. I think my biggest struggle right now is leading music during our worship. I have some experience with this but it has always(other than this summer) been with a band. I am having to use cd's and incase you did not know it's very different. So that is kind of challenging but I just feel bad for these kids down here because they have to hear me butcher these songs week after week. I may just be a little to hard on myself sometimes, but there have been a few times that were really bad. So overall I think things are really starting to fall into place and I am just blessed to be albe to be a part of it.
